We wish to compile a list of projects that are using DevIL for anything whatsoever. If you are using it,
please toss an email here with the following
information...
Description: Small port (only load and save) of DevIL for .NET languages. DevIL.NET opens/saves files with DevIL but uses .NET Bitmaps, for the greatest possible integration with existing .NET code.
Description: OGRE (Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine) is a scene-oriented, flexible 3D engine written in C++ designed to make it easier and more intuitive for developers to produce applications utilising hardware-accelerated 3D graphics. The class library abstracts all the details of using the underlying system libraries like Direct3D and OpenGL and provides an interface based on world objects and other intuitive classes.
Description: Andorra 2D is the next generation 2D engine for Delphi and Free Pascal. It features a simple API for 2D programming which offers you the choice between both: The power of DirectX and OpenGL without the need of knowing anything about those graphic interfaces. Using DevIL, Andorra 2D enables game and application programmers to load many graphic formats - with Windows and Linux.
Description: The system, dAb, provides the user with the traditional tools of a painter. This setting, conceptually equivalent to a real world painting environment, allows anyone to control a virtual brush as he or she would a real brush.
Description: Hypercosm is a system for creating and deploying web based 3D simulations. The Hypercosm system uses a high level 3D scripting language that makes it relatively easy to create simulations with complex interactivity, dynamic behavior, and physics. These simulations are compiled to small easily downloadable applets that can run standalone or in a web page where they can be integrated with Javascript, Flash, and other web technologies. To run Hypercosm simulations in a browser, users must first install and ActiveX based player. Development tools include a simple scripting IDE called Hypercosm Studio and an exporting tool called Hypercosm Teleporter. Hypercosm Teleporter is available for 3ds Max and for Google SketchUp. Free and commercial versions of these development tools are available from Hypercosm at www.hypercosm.com .
Description: ProjectFY is a futuristic type of game similar to Half-life. It is a battle between aliens and humans of the struggle to get more land for resources.
Description: VEGA allows to visualize 3D molecular structures in several draw modes (wireframe, CPK solid & wireframe, Van der Waals solid & wireframe, liquorice, etc) using an high optimized graphical engine based on the OpenGL API. It can calculate and display any type of molecular surface:
Van der Waals, surface accessible to solvent (SAS), molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), hydropathicity surface (ILM), molecular lypophilicity surface (MLP), etc.
Description: MacGLide is a shared library for Apple Macintosh computers that emulates 3Dfx Voodoo Graphics hardware. It makes it possible to run games originally made for 3Dfx/Glide without the hardware by translating Glide-function calls to OpenGL.
DevIL is used by MacGLide to replace original in-game textures with high-resolution replacements at runtime
Description: Blazetris is a new game similar to popular Tetris. It features new improved 3d graphics, and custom in-game music, but still retains the unique feel of the original game.
Description: QuArK is a powerful editor for games based on or similar to id Software's series of Quake games. Currently supports 31 distinct games, and a countless number of mods. Integrates a map editor, model editor, archive editors and texture management.
Description: Building and driving fast streetcars is what Hot Rod is all about. Now you can make that screamin' street machine of your dreams. Use your wrenching experience to go from mediocre to merciless speedster then take her out to the track for a down and dirty drag race.
